The corpse-god of Warhammer 40,000 gaming received its tithe tonight. Warhammer Skulls 2025 carved its way onto the stage with bolter fire and the stink of promethium. Big names, brutal updates, and a handful of surprises. If you’ve been starving for decent 40K games, this was the first real feast in years.
Here’s the full breakdown.
Space Marine: Master Crafted Edition

Not content with announcing Space Marine 3, earlier this year, Saber Interactive have pleased my black heart with the announcement of a remaster of 2011’s original third-person shooter, Space Marine. Expect visuals updated to 4K, improved controls, and a release just around the corner on June 10th 2025. For the Emperor!
Dawn of War: Definitive Edition

I called it. The recent visit of Relic’s representatives to Warhammer World was more than just a tourist trip. The original 2004 RTS and its expansions, dragged kicking and screaming into the present. Upscaled units, improved lighting and an integrated mod manager. I’ve wanted to see this for years. It’s not Dawn of War 4, but it’s close.
Boltgun 2

Blotgun was a blast. A Doom inspired boomer-shooter and now there’s a sequel on the horizon. More slaughter. More pixelated viscera splattered across new worlds. The retro shooter returns, still screaming its devotion to the Emperor at 240 decibels.
Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy

Rogue Trader is a wonderful CRPG which perfectly captures the ethos and atmosphere of Warhammer 40,000. Now Owlcat Games are putting everything they learned making Rogue Trader in a new CRPG featuring agents of the Inquisition.
Rogue Trader: Lex Imperialis

Not satisfied with a new title, Owlcat have pulled a double hit this Warhammer Skulls with a new DLC for Rogue Trader. Lex Imperialis brings the Arbites, a new companion, and 15 hours of fresh suffering.
Boltgun: Words of Vengeance

A free-to-play standalone title., Words of Vengeance is a creative twist on the epic boomer shooter. Instead of mowing down your enemies with elite FPS skills, kill the relentless hordes of enemies that descend upon you by typing out words.
Battlesector: Deeds of the Fallen

Step into the role of Canoness Selicia of the Order of Our Martyred Lady, leading a Sisters of Battle strike force behind enemy lines in this DLC for Battlesector. Alongside Sister Hospitaller Dorentia and an elite squad of Zephyrim, you’ll fight to relieve besieged strongholds and push back the Ork advance in a new story-driven campaign.
Mechanicus II

Another update for the previous announced Mechanicus II. The Votann are here. Same Tech-Priest fanaticism, now with added political knives in the back. Forge World rivalries, resource wars, and the cold calculus of the Machine God.
Gladius – Onslaught Pack

Deploy 8 brand-new units with the Onslaught Pack on the battlefields of Gladius Prime. The new units will bring a new offensive layer and will unlock new strategic options for commanders.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be looking at these titles in greater detail. So standby for that.
